FCCW Equity Challenge

These trying times call for unity and compassionate listening. Over the season on Advent, members of FCCW participated in an Advent Equity Challenge. Each week consisted of 4 short assignments to watch, read and listen on the topic of racial equity. They then engaged in thoughtful and brave conversation on Sunday mornings facilitated by people known and trusted to help process what they learned.

We are now making this content available on our webpage so you can participate at your own pace. We hope you will find this an informative, liberating, and a safe forum to engage in as we work to strengthen our commitment to racial equity- an integral part of our Open and Affirming covenant.

Equity Challenge Part 2

Join us Sunday mornings 1/24, 1/31, 2/7 and 2/14 for Equity Challenge Part 2.  Each week will consist of 5 short assignments to watch, read and listen that can easily be accomplished during the week. There will then be an opportunity for all of us to engage in thoughtful conversation on Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m. You can still attend even if you were unable to attend the Advent Equity Challenge. Each week’s reading will be listed at the bottom of the Sunday worship e-mail starting 1/17. Discussions will start on 1/24.
