CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRIES
Visiting with small Children? Welcome!
We believe children are not the church of the future; they are a part of the present church. Without children present our church is incomplete. As such, we encourage children to be an active part of worship; this is where they learn the most about the Christian family - by experiencing it! So encourage your child to sing along, clap, wiggle, place coins in the offering plate, offer prayer requests, and come forward for communion.
We welcome the giggles, squeals, and movement of our children during worship! Some parents find sitting nearer the front allows your child to see more clearly and participate more fully. We have children's bulletins, books, and activity bags located in the back of the sanctuary available to help keep them busy. For those times when simply a break is needed, a room is available on the first level at the end of the educational wing hallway. Most importantly remember: all are welcome.
We offer childcare in the nursery for babies and toddlers (year round) and church school classes for students in preschool through 6th grade (September - May). Older youth are encouraged to participate as a helper or assistant. All children and youth start in the worship service and participate in a lesson on the chancel steps after which they are dismissed to their classrooms. On the first Sunday of the month, all children are invited to participate in Youth Chapel - their own worship service, and then join their families for Communion.
Confirmation classes are offered for youth 8th grade through 12th grade. Classes will start on 9/22 after church. If you are interested in joining please contact Pastor Gina.
The Youth Choir is always excited to share their music with you and welcome new members! The group meets every Sunday morning at 9:30 am in the sanctuary during the school year. If you have other musical or dance talents to share with the community we would welcome them! Please contact Andy (firstname.lastname@example.org)
A time of sharing and community for parents and children of varying ages. The playgroup will meet Monday mornings at 9:30 am in the Nursery. The group will generally meet weekly taking the school calendar into consideration. If you know a parent who might enjoy fellowship with other parents during this time frame, please invite them to come to the group! For more information please contact the church office (email@example.com)
Vacation Bible School

Pastor Gina, Pastor Bill (from All Saints Episcopal), and Maria Found (from Brewster Academy) invite you to join a service-focused, social-justice centered youth group for students in grades 7 through 12. We will meet once a month, and gather to put our faith into action. We are determined to be ecumenical and interfaith, welcoming, useful and inspiring. Be on the lookout for our first meeting and event!
